Fundraising Events
Jacob’s friends have organised and taken part in a number of fund raising events in memory of their friend.

2022 Memorial Football Match
Jacob loved football, it was a real passion from an early age and not only did he watch it and play for Little Paxton, Priory, Eynesbury and St Neots but he also refereed for games.
Jacob’s amazing friends organised a memorial football match so they could all get together to play a game in memory of Jacob and raise funds for the Road Victims Trust.
Little did they realise when they started planning it that it would snowball into a huge event.
On 7th May 2022 we saw approx 800 people gather at St Neots Town Football Club to watch and play in the game. We had Jacob’s friends from the various different teams he was part of playing and even a few of his teachers. It was great to see them all playing together.
You can view the gallery here.
Even more amazing was that we managed to raise £8123.79 for the Road Victims Trust through entrance charges, raffles, cake sales and generous donations. The people and businesses of St Neots and surrounding villages came together to celebrate Jacob’s life and raise money for the Road Victims Trust who have been there for so many of us since Jacob died.
We would like to thank all of you who donated raffle prizes, baked cakes, purchased raffle tickets, donated via Just Giving and turned up on the day to watch or play. The money raised will go to make a huge difference in peoples lives.
Special thanks have to go to Harri, Gav, Jo, Sara, Ashlee and of course Louise and all the staff at St Neots Town Football Club – yes I know there were so many more people helping out and even though you might not be mentioned by name we do appreciate all the work you put in. We would also like to thank Phil and Peter for the amazing photographs you took on the day which can be viewed in the gallery.
2023 Charity Parachute Jump
On 14th May 2023, Harri, Charlie, Ethan and Lee all jumped out of a plane as part of a charity parachute jump to help raise funds for the Road Victims Trust in memory of Jacob.
There was quite a bit of waiting while we sat there hoping the weather would clear enough for the jump to take place and fortunately it did – we were blessed with a wonderful sunny day.
It is safe to say there were a few nerves before the jump but once it was all over they said they would love to do it again!
Together they raised an amazing £2,925 for the Road Victims Trust.

2023 Memorial Football Match
After the success of the first Memorial Football Match held at St Neots town FC in 2022 it was decided that a second game would be held on Saturday 16th September 2023. This would have been Jacob’s 21st birthday and so it seemed a fitting day to remember him with a sport he loved so much.
This time the game was played at Eynesbury Rovers FC where Jacob had previously played.
Once again, we had a huge turn out of people with Jacob’s friends coming together to form two (rather large due to numbers!) teams.
You can see a gallery of the images taken on the day here.
An amazing £3,302 was raised for the Road Victims Trust and it was a wonderful day with many happy memories of Jacob shared.
Eynesbury Football Club were amazing hosts and our thanks go out to them for all the work they did to help make the day happen.
As with the 2022 game, there is a gallery where you can view images from the day.
